Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown ended their tour in Omaha, Nebraska at The Waiting Room. It was the last show they are playing for awhile as Tyler is headed back to Nashville to await the birth of his son. An exciting time no doubt, but if you are expecting to see him on the road anytime soon, you will have to wait.

I love this band and I will tell anyone who will listen to me that they need to see these guys. They are one of the best live bands that you will see. There are few bands that I will make sure that I get to the show and see them when they come to the area, and Tyler Bryant and crew are one of the ones I will change plans for if I need to.

Their latest release, Electrified, came out last year. They led of the show with the title track from that album, which got the crowd up and moving from the start. The weeknight crowd was not large, but what they lacked in number they made up in enthusiasm. I’m still shocked that they are not bigger here in the Midwest. I would see these guys everyday of the week and twice on Sundays if I could. They did have fans make a drive as far as 8 hours away on this night.

It was a great set throughout they night, songs like Sho Been Worse, Shackles, Lipstick Wonder Woman, and The Ride. Through in the latest single Bloodshot Baby and a couple others that have not been released yet. One of them coming out on August 1st, so keep you eyes peeled for that one.

And while you won’t be able to see the Tyler and the Shakedown out any time soon, I encourage you to check out the music online or get their vinyl or CD’s online from their website. As great as the setlist was on this night, I could have picked a dozen other songs of their releases that would have been just as great of a show. They have seven full length releases and a few EP’s available and each one is solid from start to finish.

I wish Tyler good luck with the birth of his son and look forward to hearing the new releases. And when the time is right, I will be back at the next show they have here when they come through. You can count on that.
